I complained to customer service and this is what they emailed me back.
“Hi,
Thanks for writing in. I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused. Sleepers stat provider uses the official NFL injury designations for player injury tags- Once the team makes an official change to the players status, Sleeper will follow. I apologize for the delay.”
