While I would usually say unc won’t practice but he’ll play. I’m hoping he doesn’t play so he gets rest and I can win the league after the bye week

Fantasy is so funny. As a medical student it’s entertaining to see people suggest he play or not with nothing but a hunch.
In reality if he’s good to go he’s good to go and I doubt he will play if there’s any risk. However if he shows good range of motion, 0-2 pain, structural findings are absent of abnormalities, and he can do his full range of routes with no pain or stiffness then he’s good to play.
The biggest thing is how much pain and stiffness occurs the day after he runs routes. He’ll probably see how he runs full speed routes Saturday. If there’s minimal stuffness or pain Sunday then there’s really no reason to stop him from playing.
Evans had has Achilles tendinopathy in the past. It can take months for the Achilles to have full structural recovery. Even if there’s no current symptoms. Remodeling is a slow process. However athletes play through it all the time. My point being, if you’re worried he’s going to tear his Achilles from this then you might as well shut him down until playoffs or for the year
Medically, hes fine to play if it’s structurally sound and he has full function and minimal or no pain. If you choose to sit him even after those findings, just know he will carry the exact same increased risk for a tear in 2 weeks after the bye. Nothing will change. So if you’re that worried about even a small increased risk of a tear why play him again at all?
I don’t get these comments, they make no medical sense

Someone tie this man to a chair during the game so he might actually get some recovery in for once
