Safe is a stretch. Darnold finished as the QB25 or lower 6 times over his final 10 games including a week 17 6 point stinker in the championship week. The Seahawks went 5-1 during those games and Darnold wasn’t asked to do a lot so there is the risk of Darnold giving nothing fantasy wise in a position where you are banking on a lot of points. The departures of OC Klint Kubiak and SB MVP RB Kenneth Walker will change the offense and it will be important to monitor if Darnold remains in the game manager role and the Seahawks defense continues to suffocate offenses or if Darnold is asked to sling it around more like in his Minnesota days.
