Zero WR vs Zero RB strategy which one will work better for this year in PPR? Looking to employ one Any help would be greatly appreciated!
if you go into the draft with a set strategy you can easily just end up setting yourself up for failure
but that being said zero wr is a better strategy this year lol
I feel I’ve never done a strategy before just toying with some things because if I have a top 5 pick I’m definitely taking a back it’s just interesting to me all the ideas and strategies people come up with
it all depends who is available
don’t take a rb just because you need a rb if you are not high on the guy and there is a wr available with way more value
yeah practice mock drafts to see what combination makes you like your lineup the most but keep in mind you won’t be able to make that same team in your real draft
Yea either one of these strategies are dumb having said that if tbis is redraft rbs are worth more
Yea especially in my league we do the order like 10 minutes before so everything goes out the window which I like
Thank you for the input everyone more from anyone else is also appreciated
Dude. You cant walk into the draft room knowing you will go Zero RB or WR. The draft flow will dictate what your strategy is. It always depend on who is there and who might be there on your next pick. If you are dropping tiers between picks on RB, and would stay in the same tier on WR, grab the RBs. And visa versa.
I think it's good to think about these scenarios just in case. What if you end up with 2 WRs by the time the 3rd round hits. Are you ok w/ Fournette or Mack as your RB1?
That is what I mean. Know who might be available, can determine who your pick that round is.
leaning zero rb outside the Big 5
in redraft
remember how Chubb became a baller last year or Alvin Kamara the year before.
its much easier to find an RB1 mid season than to find a stud WR midseason
Exactly what I was thinking in terms of top 5 if I have top 5 I’m going back but after that I would love to go back to back wideout
its been working well for me in mocks
But like everyone else said it’s kinda a pick oriented thing I just like hearing opinion but I agree 100%
In my 12 team startup dynasty, I had the 1.7, 1.8, and 2.3 and had the mindset to go RB-RB-RB with my first three picks. When all the RBs went early, I ended up taking DHops, D. Adams, and JuJu with my three picks. Oh well, my strategy went out the window. Now will have a more difficult time picking RBs.
Who are your current backs? @sactoboy
@Saquonhypetrain we are currently at pick 3.2, my next pick is at 3.7, so no RBs for me yet. Not sure if I should take a RB with my next pick or take Kittle/Ertz if one falls to me. I wanted to take Mixon with my 1.7 but he was taken at 1.5 so I just zagged while everyone boarded RBs
