@Barnyard86 this was what I was gonna say. You can set a rule that if the player leaves before halftime and doesn’t come back you get the points for a pre determined sub player. You only get one a week. But if a player plays the first half and then gets injured in the 3rd or 4th quarter that’s just bad luck. But when they miss more then half the game you should still get some points. Specially in the playoffs.

The ability to add extra picks to a draft, for example, 1.13, in a 12-team draft.

Replace kicker with a non skill position flex (OL/DE/G) that only gets points on offensive stats. Keeps the randomness of kicker while making it way less impactful. Plus it’s more fun to root for a THICC SIX than a field goal.
