āJaguars released RB Leonard Fournette.ā
Fournette to the Bucs! Watch!
Fournette to the Jags!
Legitimate question, can someone explain how NFL waivers work as best they can including what happens to x players contract and team cap space? Feel like that would help a lot of people understand the dynamics of NFL waivers and free agency.
Just flipped Armstead for Diggs.š
Yeah I think the Chark secret has officially surfaced... good bye sweet 4th round ADP... at least I got you in dynasty.
Whatās the deal? Is he some kind of asswipe or something? Hell of an athlete.
Writing was on the wall for awhile now, too bad the Texans didn't have a real gm..
Or coach!
Armstead for Diggs? Depends on your needs. I'm not high on Diggs, so if I needed RB I wouldn't have done that. If I needed WR I would have. RA has higher "upside" -- he'll get first shot at being RB1, but they still could go committee on 1-2 downs. So what the hell...
Iām golden at RB. Diggs will be my WR4/5 but most likely a trade chip.
Cook,Mixon, RoJo, Taylor, Moss are my RBs.
Outstanding RBs. The trade...why not?
Thatās what Iām thinking. Other WRs are Golladay,Mclaurin,Chark,Boyd
THough I would have been tempted to hold RA to see what happens there. Might have gotten someone far better than Diggs.
Because the trade at this point doesn't help or hurt you
Outstanding WRs too
I was tempted to hold but Iām looking for trade chips to go after a better TE. Got Gronk and Jonnu.
I can only dream that in 16 team auction
49ers, Chicago and ravens good spot for him
@AntonioBrownies I may be wrong, but basically once the player is waived from the team, they go on waivers for 24 hours. Teams can place a bid and pick up their existing contract and make them a member of their team without worrying of losing them to free agency to another team. If multiple teams place a bid, it goes to wavier priority like in fantasy football. I think itās based on draft order prior to the season, and is based on current standing during season. So like if the Bengals and Chiefs place bids right now , the Bengals would get him because of their draft position/bad record going into the season. If no one claims the player on waivers, they will clear waviers and become a free agent and will be free to sign with any team on a new contract that both side agree on.
I think that's a good synopsis. Maybe Jags were doing him a favor? Don't know why. Still think there is something we don't low about Lenny
I mean he was on the last yr of his rookie contract, so If someone had offered anything within that 24 hours they would have gotten him dirt cheap.
OF course there could have been extention demands...and better contract demand$$$$$$
@tenz0r ah okay that makes sense. So if a team claims him off waivers they essentially take on the financial cost of his current contract and must have that cap space available per each year of his contract, and the Jags donāt have to continue paying him? I guess thatās where the confusion is for me when players leave a team and sign with someone else but are still being paid by the previous team they left.
