“So now, barring an unexpected trade, the #Chargers say Melvin Gordon can play for $5.605 million or not play at all https://t.co/ibxORCSDK5”
@castilloo3 JJ
Traded him yesterday for Mack and Diggs straight up
So he found a team that offered a trade and the chargers said he'll no then wow
Not sure if anyone pointed this out but the Chargers have always been cut-throat in negotiations... Rodney Harrison, LT, Rivers, Bosa, and many more. He can only get whole by leaving now for sure
Don’t drop pollard United it’s official @castilloo3
Until*
Sounds good, thanks
What does this possibly me for Mr. Marlon Mack?
@goat56 the talks aren’t going to break down. He’s signing today or tomorrow
Does it not seem like the bills are the team to trade for Melvin. Just dumped all McCoy money and have a rookie qb who needs help and is on a cheap deal.
I have to believe the hard stance the Chargers are taking this weekend has to get into the Cowboys brass’ heads.
I will play RB for San Diego for 5.605mil
Ooh interesting take
@YouMustGetR3kt he got greedy and asked for top dollar. They offered him at WORST a reasonable deal. He isn’t Zeke or even Bell. He’s just not worth 13+ million. Chargers are in the right to do this. He got greedy, and has casted a major shadow over the franchise as they are preparing to make a run at a SB. It’s clear Melvin can’t get this money from another team so far. So why would the Chargers pay him 10% of their cap when they have to extend Rivers, Allen, Bosa, and Ingram all in the next two years or less?
@sawalker10 Maybe Jerry's gone senile. Hard to believe the Jerry of old would cave this quickly. Season hasn't even started yet.
Yeah, I was banking on him being hard headed and Zeke being proud. Still not entirely sure that impasse is traversable before week 1.
What does this mean as a fantasy owner ? Hold on to him or try trading him ?
@rexking this means nothing. Nothing has changed.
@ScooterB I agree probably not worth 13 mill. Only makes sense to pay a legit back if you have a qb on a rookie deal
Translation: the holdout continues.
@CogsBleedsBlue you can’t be serious. Treating RBs like slaves? Melvin got offered 10 million a year at least and you want to use that terminology. You an emotional chargers fan or something? No one else will pay him what he wants. He was getting what the market dictated and it was a fair offer. Get some perspective next time
I would try trading him, doesn’t do you any good to have on the bench for multiple games if you can find a starter you can plug in now
@FallenAngel if you owned him are you holding out or trading him ?
@rexking holding out for sure
