“Former Steelers’ RB Le’Veon Bell plans to sign with…the New York Jets, a league source tells ESPN”

danchez6 6 years ago

60 mill isn't enough to run for the jets.

beerbuff 6 years ago

Lol, Didn't he turn down more initially with the Steelers? DOH

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Lol reset the RB market? 😂😂 way to take that L! L.Bell

jlcon07 6 years ago

No. The 33M guaranteed the Steelers "offered" wasn't actually guaranteed. Only 10M was actually due at signing. Then he had a base salary year 1 of 7M. So 17M year 1. After that every year was a team option where Pitt could have terminated the contract and walked away without any dead money

@jlcon07 buddy every analyst and agent out there is saying the guys strategy backfired, he didn’t reset the market and screwed himself out of a lot of money. The Steelers guaranteed 33mil over the first two years. This year would have been his second year so he’d have his 33 plus he’d have a way higher yearly salary and he’d be getting ready to turn that 33 into 45 if he finished out this year

The guy lost big time at least now no RB will attempt that again

jlcon07 6 years ago

@SamIAmC6 that's wrong. He was not Guaranteed 33M

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Ok I’m wrong and every analyst is wrong but ur right @jlcon07 my fault

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Just so u know that 33M over the first 2 years guaranteed was posted on this sleeper app so the app must be wrong too

jlcon07 6 years ago

He was guaranteed 10M. There was "likely" to be earned money in year 2 where you can call that money in guarantees and that total was 33M over 2 years. But the team if they had cut him after year 1 would have paid him 17M and nothing after

jlcon07 6 years ago

Sam yes I mentioned this to them. I called the headline misleading and inaccurate

jlcon07 6 years ago

I have links to prove it

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Best case would have been to play last year and collect the 14.5 and then go sign the shitty jets contract and get ur 35

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Clearly teams didn’t like that he sat out

Dan2mc 6 years ago

@jlcon07 is a Cowboys fan, so he'd know a thing or 2 abt bad contracts brah

Dan2mc 6 years ago

jlcon07 6 years ago

Oh absolutely. That's why I can identify a bad contract when I see one.

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

Lmao 😂 cheers to that we can argue all day on Lbell knows if he’s happy or not

jlcon07 6 years ago

Well he got his security. Less AAV then I'm sure he wanted so I wouldn't say he's happy. But the talking point was about the difference between this contract and the Steelers.

DemonChief58 6 years ago

Well... there goes the hype for his shit record... damn..

SamIAmC6 6 years ago

I’m fine without him glad he lost some money in the deal for being a punk but otherwise we move on
