Ranking the NFL's top wide receivers and tight ends for dynasty fantasy football leagues in 2024.

This article is all about the pass-catchers, as we’ll dive into the top five wide receivers and top five tight ends in dynasty leagues heading into the 2024 NFL season. Sleeper’s dynasty ADP guides the rankings, and we’ll discuss each player’s projections for the upcoming season. You can, of course, test these rankings and projections by joining a startup on Sleeper and letting us know how right (or wrong 😬) the dynasty community was a year (or three) down the line.

As we did in our article covering the top five dynasty quarterbacks and running backs, we’ll also offer up some trade scenarios for each player, to give you an idea of what a deal involving these top stars might entail.

Note: All wide receiver and tight end ADPs use PPR scoring unless otherwise stated.

Top 5 Dynasty WRs on Sleeper

We start with the wideouts, each of whom are 25 years old or younger.

Justin Jefferson, Vikings

Last season, the 25-year-old superstar dealt with poor quarterback play and injuries, leaving early in two of his 10 games played – and yet, Jefferson’s 107.4 receiving yards per game actually marked a career-high.

Jefferson is the NFL’s best, most complete receiver, and he led the league in receptions (128) and receiving yards (1,809) in 2022. Unfortunately, this season could yield a step back in production with significant question marks at QB in Minnesota, as journeyman Sam Darnold and rookie J.J. McCarthy are battling it out in training camp. McCarthy has long-term upside, but rookie QBs usually struggle early in their careers.

Sleeper’s 2024 projections underscore that concern, with Jefferson pegged for 105 receptions (fourth), 1,427 yards (third) and seven touchdowns (eighth). Still, if this is his floor over the next half decade, then the dynasty WR1 title makes sense.

Jefferson is the 1.01 in 1-QB dynasty startups and the 1.05 in superflex/2-QB leagues using Sleeper ADP.

  • Justin Jefferson for Tyreek Hill + George Pickens
  • Justin Jefferson for Travis Etienne + Drake London

For projections on every single player, you can go to the Fantasy Football Research MINI in the Sleeper App. You can also view every player’s dynasty (or redraft) ADP within the tool, and you can sort the rankings based on half a dozen different stats.

CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys

Lamb averaged 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns over his first three seasons before going on an absolute tear in 2023. Last year, Lamb led the NFL in receptions (135), while compiling 1,862 total yards and 14 total touchdowns. In PPR formats, he was the WR1 in fantasy points per game, and he, like Jefferson, is only 25.

Lamb has minimal target competition once again in 2024, as veteran receiver Brandin Cooks and tight end Jake Ferguson are nowhere close to his level. Dak Prescott is a competent QB who can sling it, and Sleeper projects 115 receptions (first) and 1,455 receiving yards (second) for Lamb. Only the 30-year-old Tyreek Hill is projected for more fantasy points this season.

Like Jefferson, Lamb should flirt with high-end fantasy WR1 status in each of the next five seasons, and he’s a safe bet to remain within the top-five dynasty WR conversation.

Sleeper’s dynasty startup ADP has Lamb as the 1.02 in 1-QB leagues and the 1.07 in superflex/2-QB.

Trade Ideas for CeeDee Lamb in 1-QB Leagues

  • CeeDee Lamb for Puka Nacua + Deebo Samuel
  • CeeDee Lamb for Christian McCaffrey + Mark Andrews

Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals

Chase set a rookie record (at the time) in 2021 with 1,455 receiving yards, before increasing his per-game production in 2022 – despite a fractured hip. Last year, Chase was on pace for new career-highs in receptions (130) and receiving yards (1,551) before Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury in Week 11.

Chase is physical, explosive and can be deployed anywhere in the formation. He just needs Burrow to stay healthy. Compared to Jefferson and Lamb, Chase is the upside play. He’s a year younger, and he has shown a higher weekly fantasy points ceiling. Burrow is also locked up on a long-term extension, while Jefferson and Lamb (Prescott is on the final year of his contract) face more future QB uncertainty.

The issue for Chase has been consistency, as he was held to 41 or fewer yards in three of his nine full games with Burrow last season. Sleeper projects 105 receptions (fourth), 1,367 receiving yards (fourth) and eight touchdowns (second) for Chase, though a 1,700-yard season is also in the range of outcomes if he and Burrow both stay healthy.

He’s the 1.03 in 1-QB startups and the 1.08 in superflex/2-QB leagues, and he’s the sneaky pick to finish 2024 as dynasty’s overall WR1.

Trade Ideas for Ja’Marr Chase in 1-QB Leagues

  • Ja’Marr Chase for Chris Olave + Kyle Pitts
  • Ja’Marr Chase for Jahmyr Gibbs + Davante Adams

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions

St. Brown has steadily increased his production in his three NFL seasons, removing the label that he might be “just a slot receiver.” His 119 receptions last season tied for second behind Lamb, and his 1,515 receiving yards ranked third behind Hill and Lamb.

One of the biggest changes St. Brown has made is the ability to win on routes further downfield, and he’s also started lining up more on the outside, rather than only in the slot. We may be looking at the 24-year-old version of Cooper Kupp – but without the concerning injury history – as he’s physical and capable of winning his routes from any alignment.

Sleeper projects 111 receptions (third) and 1,285 receiving yards (sixth) this season, but a repeat of his 2023 campaign would not be surprising.

St. Brown goes at the 1.04 in dynasty startups on Sleeper, and he goes at the 1.12 in superflex/2-QB formats.

Trade Ideas for Amon-Ra St. Brown in 1-QB Leagues

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown for Nico Collins + Brock Bowers
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown for Rachaad White + Malik Nabers

Marvin Harrison Jr., Cardinals

From the Hall-of-Fame bloodline to the back-to-back seasons of at least 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns at Ohio State, to the fourth overall pick in the draft, Harrison Jr. is a borderline perfect prospect.

The rookie is tall (6’3”) and well-built (209 pounds) with the route-running fluidity of a much smaller player. Dynasty managers are already salivating at his potential, and Harrison Jr. will need to immediately establish rapport with Cardinals QB Kyler Murray to justify his current price tag.

Sleeper only projects 81 receptions (18th) and 1,091 yards (17th) for 2024, so he is the riskiest dynasty pick among the top five receivers. Harrison will be 22 this season, so a fantasy WR1 showing in ‘24 probably thrusts him right into the dynasty WR1 conversation going forward.

Harrison is the 1.07 in 1-QB dynasty startups and the 2.02 in superflex/2-QB formats on Sleeper.

Trade Ideas for Marvin Harrison Jr. in 1-QB Leagues

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. for Breece Hall
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. for Jonathan Taylor + Diontae Johnson

Top 5 Dynasty TEs on Sleeper

Now we move on to the tight ends, which is becoming an increasingly important position in modern NFL offenses.

Sam LaPorta, Lions

LaPorta’s 2023 featured the most fantasy points ever for a rookie TE, as he recorded 86 receptions, 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. In dynasty, it’s hard to argue against a 23-year-old coming off a fantasy TE3 in PPR fantasy points per game.

LaPorta is a top-tier athlete for the position, and his agility early in routes is a perfect match for the newly-extended Jared Goff’s love of the short to intermediate passes. The only area of caution for dynasty managers is the unsustainable touchdown rate. For context, Evan Engram caught 28 more passes for six fewer touchdowns last year.

Sleeper projects 81 receptions, 839 yards and seven touchdowns for LaPorta in 2024, a dip of around two fantasy points per game compared to last season. He is a safe bet to remain in the top-three conversation for all of ‘24, but unless St. Brown gets injured, it’s tough to see a production increase from his rookie campaign.

LaPorta is currently the 2.03 in 1-QB dynasty startups via Sleeper ADP and the 3.01 in superflex/2-QB formats.

Trade Ideas for Sam LaPorta in 1-QB Leagues

  • Sam LaPorta for Tony Pollard + D.J. Moore
  • am LaPorta for Josh Allen

Trey McBride, Cardinals

McBride had a nondescript rookie season in 2022, before sharing pass-catching duties with veteran Zach Ertz again for the first seven weeks of ‘23. Ertz then got injured, and from Week 8 onward, McBride averaged seven receptions, 69 yards and 15 PPR fantasy points per game.

McBride is only a year older than LaPorta, with similar speed and size. He actually has less target competition than LaPorta, as vying for balls with Harrison Jr. is not as daunting as doing so with the likes of St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Jahmyr Gibbs.

Sleeper projects 80 receptions, 820 yards and five touchdowns for McBride, all a shade under LaPorta. However, with a wide-open Cardinals depth chart, McBride has a chance to steal the dynasty TE1 crown if he builds on his late momentum from last season.

In dynasty startups, McBride’s ADP in 1-QB leagues is 35, and he goes at 40th in superflex/2-QB formats.

Trade Ideas for Trey McBride in 1-QB Leagues

  • Trey McBride for Saquon Barkley
  • Trey McBride for Brandon Aiyuk

Dalton Kincaid, Bills

Buffalo traded up to select Kincaid 25th overall in 2023, and his rookie season began slowly, taking off once Dawson Knox went down with an injury. Kincaid finished with 73 receptions and 673 receiving yards, and he was just the TE14 in PPR fantasy points per game.

The biggest positive indicator for Kincaid’s fantasy future was the Bills’ offseason, as they traded Stefon Diggs to the Texans and let Gabe Davis walk in free agency, turning instead to a few free-agent dart throws and first-round rookie Keon Coleman. There’s a strong chance Kincaid is Josh Allen’s No. 1 pass-catching weapon this season, and that in itself gives him a chance to finish as the highest scorer at the position. Kincaid, 24, doesn’t have the target-earning profile of the other TEs on this list, but he may just have the best situation for fantasy football.

Sleeper projects a step up in Year 2 with 78 receptions, 805 yards and five scores, though he can easily score 8-10 touchdowns in this Buffalo offense.

Kincaid is going 43rd in dynasty startups using Sleeper ADP.

Trade Ideas for Dalton Kincaid in 1-QB Leagues

  • Dalton Kincaid for Kyren Williams
  • Dalton Kincaid for James Conner + Mike Evans

Travis Kelce, Chiefs

The ageless wonder is at least 10 years older than everyone else on this list, and he showed some signs of slowing down last year. For the first time since 2015, he failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards, and the team appeared to ease his workload toward the end of the regular season, in preparation for the playoffs.

Despite all this, Kelce still finished as the TE1 in fantasy points per game. He plays with Patrick Mahomes, but the targets may drop further in 2024 with the arrivals of rookie WR Xavier Worthy and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Unless you’re a win-now dynasty roster, it’s advisable to trade away Kelce, since he’s the one TE on this list who could fall out of the top 10 by season’s end.

Sleeper projects 80 receptions, 847 yards and seven touchdowns, which would tie Kelce with LaPorta for fantasy TE1 status in 2024.

Kelce goes 44th in 1-QB dynasty startups, and he falls to 52nd in superflex/2-QB leagues.

Trade Ideas for Travis Kelce in 1-QB Leagues

  • Travis Kelce for Brock Purdy + Josh Jacobs
  • Travis Kelce for Kyle Pitts

Brock Bowers, Raiders

Bowers is a truly generational tight end prospect. A starter at Georgia from 2021-23, he led the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns every year – and he was competing for targets with other highly drafted NFL rookies in Ladd McConkey, Adonai Mitchell and Jermaine Burton.

Bowers is technically a TE, but he moves like a receiver with the ball in his hands, and he impressively rushed for 193 yards and five scores in college. Like Georgia, the Raiders are expected to find every possible way to get Bowers the ball in space, though it may take a little time for the rookie to get acclimated this year. Sleeper only projects 62 receptions, 692 yards and five touchdowns, and while those are great numbers for a rookie TE, it’s a fairly low projection for a top-five dynasty TE.

Bowers is just 21, with a historic college production profile, so there’s also potential for dynasty managers to get fantasy WR1 type production from him for years to come.

Bowers currently goes at an ADP of 45 in Sleeper’s dynasty startups, regardless of format.

Trade Ideas for Brock Bowers in 1-QB Leagues

  • Brock Bowers for Rhamondre Stevenson + Jake Ferguson
  • Brock Bowers for DK Metcalf
