Anders Carlson joins 49ers' practice squad after release from Packers

Kicker Anders Carlson, who was drafted by the Packers in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, was recently signed to the 49ers' practice squad following his release at the end of August. During his time with the Packers, Carlson appeared in all 17 games in the 2023 season, successfully converting 27 of 33 field goal attempts and 34 of 39 extra points, achieving an 81.8 percent field goal success rate and an 87.2 percent conversion rate on extra points. Carlson had been under a four-year, $3.996 million rookie contract with the Packers, which included a $156,776 signing bonus.
