Depends whether Darnold wants the bag or success. If he wants success he should take a team friendly deal so he has this team around him. If he wants a big contract he could leave but have a worse O-line / receivers and look like a Jet again

Realistically nothing, he's proved himself well. They won't resign him no matter what though. JJ is their guy

Thereās no promises McCarthy is as good! Darnold is a top 5 qb and last I checked itās almost impossible to win a chip with mediocre qb play

Why wouldnāt they resign him? Heās proving himself. The rookie they drafted hasnāt done nothing to cave on Darnold. This is Darnold team now.

They have a cheaper cap option in JJ. I think they either trade him for a first which is unlikely or let Darnold walk. They have a QB whisperer as a head coach and great weapons so theyāre similar to San Francisco with if youāre at least competent as a QB youāll be good in that system.
Being a Packer fan, I hate the Vikings and even I can say that they absolutely need to bring this guy back and give him a light bag to reward his play. They are nowhere without him.
