Taxi Squad. How does it work? Can you call someone up mid season?

My league has 3 spots. Newly-drafted rookies this can be placed on it and stay on for max 2 years. Once they get called up to your active roster they can never go back. Players claimed on waivers can never go on either

The only exception we decided on is if you trade for a player on someone else's taxi, he is allowed to go on yours. The spots are reusable in that sense.

You can call up a player anytime. The app allows to change the max years allowed on taxi

The main gist of it is, it is a place for not immeditealy contributing players to have time an grow while you can still roster them, the main points are it has a time cap and once a player is activated it may not be designated again to there

Taxi squad is like a NFL practice squad where you can stash rookies or guys with 1 year of exp. You can take players off the taxi at anytime throughout the season but can only ADD to taxi until the start of the regular season.

You stash guys that might need 1 year of development or guys who are sitting behind an older and could take over. Or just stash rookies you think might succeed

also becareful how its set up. Teams can poach your taxi players that will force you to call them up to your squad or lose them for draft pick compensation

And can you set rules for poaching?

that i dont know im not the commish in my league but i know we will get compensation to the a round above our pick. So a second round pick poached will get us a first

a first rounder will get us a frist and a complementary first pick bewteen rounds

Heard. We just did a start up so most of our taxi is very late round picks

or something like that all i knwo is i have 3 first round picks 3 second and no spots open on my roster not counting the 3-5 round picks i have

so my taxi will be full

Taxis are not tradable unless activated Taxi Raids are allowed You may pouch a player from another teams taxi squad Raider team would be compensated with draft picks Compensation = one round higher than asset was drafted.
