If a work league mate claims to have accidentally accepted a trade, should you give commissioner permission to reject trade or should you say too bad?

@WilliamPing So you think I should tell the commissioner to reject the trade that I believe benefits my team because I get rid of one or my many RBs for a returning from injury WR because the league mate claims he accidentally accepted?

It once happened in my fantasy. Unfortunately we rejected the trade and we all agreed on putting 🤝 as a final decision. My friends and I haven't had a problem since. I think it's for the best !

Why would both "pre-accept" a trade in the first place ? I give you an example. In life, you get in a relationship before getting married lol. You don't jump to conclusion and get instantly married and regret. I suggest adding 🤝 as the marriage, and it's official. Maybe you disagree because this trade benefits you, but try to think with no biased thoughts

So accepting the trade is a taste of what's coming. Your league can react and your commissioner doesn't accept until both decide to be official 🤝

The commisioner doesn't really get the veto to reject, but if the trade doesn't go through because you tried to fleece someone, too bad

I like the no reject part of it except it allows obvious collusion. But more times than not every trade will not be consummated unless it is collusion or it is not clear who benefits the most. I am the 2 time consecutive champ going for the three-peat, so league does not want anyone trading with me to benefit my team.

The league shouldn’t have to agree on a trade that’s stupid. It’s not the leagues trade it only involves the parties trading (Obviously collusion aside). If the commissioner got a message, text, phone call as soon as that trade was “accidentally accepted” then I would honor that it was an actual mistake. Buyers remorse is not the same and should not be a legitimate excuse. I think the manager who messed up should deal with the consequence as long as no collusion was involved.

So what is the time limit in that case? Because a league mate could text them immediately that it was a dumb trade? @therealeaglefort

Maybe but I’m talking instant. You know if you click the wrong button and screw yourself as a manager. I’ve accidentally dropped the wrong player on a pick up and I go straight the league chat to make sure everyone knows I made a mistake and let the commissioner judge it. Part of it is players being honest and dealing with dumb mistakes. I think you lose the benefit of the doubt if you wait longer than the next 5 seconds. If you really made a mistake you would act on it immediately

That is fairer. Should you be able to get a player put back on your team if you accidently dropped them based on that logic? @therealeaglefort

It’s a work league….if it’s a serious work league then yeah maybe make him deal with the consequences. If it’s a casual league, don’t let fantasy football impact your work relationships.

@indianprodigy02 pretty serious, playing for money and want the three-peat more than I want the money!

Do you think he’s being honest? And how fast did he say it was an accident? Those are the two questions that influence. I lean on the side of letting him veto, file it away as being the bigger man, and doing the right thing to people that don’t deserve it. Sucks but holding a coworkers feet to the fire doesn’t feel like the move - unless he’s just straight up lying and it’s obvious

You can’t “accidentally” accept a trade. The app asks you to confirm essentially asking twice if you want to accept. Impossible to fat finger.
