Do I trade my start up 7th round pick for a 2025 first?

ESPN4Lyfe 3 months ago

Who do you want to take in the 7th round?

ESPN4Lyfe 3 months ago

And then you have to think, is that player in the 7th round worth more or less than a 1st?

loveneverfails7 3 months ago

I wouldn’t. Cause that’s gonna make that team better, causing it to be a late 1st. And you’re just setting yourself up for a rebuild with that mindset

eepst 3 months ago

@HaydenHathcote it depends who are the players in that range? What kind of team did you build with your first 6 picks?

eepst 3 months ago

And what’s the format

HaydenHathcote 3 months ago

Drafting from the 7th spot. Williams Lawrence Nabers Maye Bowers Higgins

Yup

Who went after him?

eepst 3 months ago

Ok so you’re building a rebuilding team off the bat. I don’t hate selling off the 1st (depending what players are on the board) but I’d want like a 1st + 12th round pick for like your 7th and a future 2nd or something

eepst 3 months ago

Whatever pick values line up

ESPN4Lyfe 3 months ago

Oh no. Go with Nabers in the 7th. What a steal lol

If that’s the team you drafted, I’d be open to moving picks for future picks. Not sure I’d do a 7th straight up for an unknown first, but I’d be willing to trade down to get one. Reason being, you’re loaded with rookies. They’re talented, but you aren’t winning anything this year with mostly rookies, so hedging the future makes sense

TheDailyStruggle 3 months ago

Usually 8th round is where picks become worth straight up for a 1st if you’re doing the productive struggle approach. I’d try to move back a ways and get the 1st instead if it's a 7th.

TheDailyStruggle 3 months ago

or ask for the 2nd as well.

CheeseburgerWalrus1 3 months ago

@HaydenHathcote typically a following years first is worth anywhere from a 6-8th round start up pick So if you want to, you’re about adequate value. However, I NEVER trade start up picks for future picks - I do the opposite. I’ll throw away all of next years picks to bolster my starting lineup. Who cares if you have no 2025 picks when you win the ship because your worst flex player is someone like a Zay Flowers

HaydenHathcote 3 months ago

I don’t think I can do it. Hockenson and Jayden reed are both still there. @CheeseburgerWalrus1 @ESPN4Lyfe @eepst

Need Help: Should I trade Diontae Johnson and Bucky Irving for Puka Nacua? My team: RB: Bijan, Jordan Mason WR: Zay Flowers, Malik Nabers, Rashee Rice, DeMario Douglas, Allen Lazard TE: David Njoku and Cole Kmet. Imagine what my line up would look like with Puka.
