I shoot for interaction, conversation, trade talks, and not your same old boring dynasty league with all my leagues. I run leagues that have 2 year taxis for rookies drafted, live rookie drafts, lottery on the bottom four teams, trade countering, rookie draft via video chat, and other interesting elements to them. My league settings have been refined over the last 10+ years. This league is 10 Team, 2 division, week 14 NCAA style matchup, 1 QB, with a bunch of flex, deep bench, dry waivers.
