Taxi Squad Advice!

For most dynasy leagues I run only rookies are eligible for taxi squads and can only be held for 1 or 2 seasons. Should players be able to be held for longer than 1/2 season? Why or why not? Any feedback is welcomed!

2 yrs is enough in my opinion, but I think it’s important to “Allow Non-Rookies” for Taxi so that during the offseason guys can be placed back on Taxi if they were activated Year 1. The whole point of it is development, so if it’s too rigid, it kind of loses its fun.

We do 3 years which I like since after their 3rd year and non rookies are allowed. It doesn't break anything since if they are trying to use them as a bench spot they have to activate that player and drop someone else.

@GUMP7285 I personally like three years of NFL experience or less as a requirement for taxi squads. Rookies take some time to develop, and I wouldn’t want to be forced to take rookies after their rookie years, as there is a lot of unknowns still at that point. Take DJ Chark for example; he didn’t do great year one and did very well in year two.
