Is tanking an issue and how do you stop it?
Just in order to get #1 pick
@thebadferret in our 8 team dynasty, the 4 teams that don’t make the playoffs compete for picks 1-4 and the playoff teams compete for spots 5-8. The competition we did was pick a nascar driver in the Daytona 500. This way being last place doesn’t guarantee you get the #1 pick
Use max points for to determine draft order. I wouldn’t give the winner of the toilet bowl the first pic. If the leagues ran like that the bottom teams will never compete and you’ll have new owners every other year
Playoff teams standing determined by H2H record and non playoff teams standing determined by potential points...
@riskynick is their a setting that allows me to do so or does the commish has to set picks manually?
Not familiar with this app, but MFL always keep track of potential points. It’s just a running tally of a teams points if they had set a perfect lineup each week.
Is someone familiar with such sleeper settings?
Yeah @thebadferret go to standings in your league at the left side next to standings click “view details” and you’ll see MaxPF
This completely eliminates tanking
we use a lotto
the teams that do not make the playoffs will be place in a consolation bracket. All 6 teams have a shot at the first pick but in order to inspire competition the breakdowns for the lottery will be as so: Consolation placing: 1st: 22% 2nd: 20% 3rd: 18% 4th: 16% 5th: 13% 6th: 11%
its only for the first 2 picks tho
if you traded away your pick it kinda blows
but i step in as commish and force a playable a lineup or you lose picks the following year
i dont think it really is an issue. if a team from start up decides they want 1.01 they will more than likely draft like it. stacking 1st rounders current year and year out. the teams who would decide to tank a few games in usually dont have their 1st any more.
