“Jaguars released RB Leonard Fournette.”
@beezy210 4.1 isn't pennies. Aaron Jones makes just over 2.
Then why was no team willing to give a 2022 7th? That seems like a small fee to pay to not risk losing out on a guy if you really want him at that $ figure
You also have to think about the cap roll over. It has huge significance this year with next years cap possibly dropping 20 mil. I’m certain he gets signed but for no where close to 4.1. No team has a glaring need in less an ACL tears today and everyone is on a very strict budget cause cap assumptions they made which are normally safe got wrecked this offseason.
@BigRedReid don't know man, Chicago looks like they may have a glaring need. lol
Has something changed for Monty? Last I saw was 2-4 weeks. So he will be questionable for week 1. Cap roll over cannot be underestimated here. Multiple teams have acknowledged it and that they are trying to not spending any more money this year to level out the caps drop. 2021 will be a bad time to be a FA.
@BigRedReid yeah, I'm just not sure about Monty even when healthy. But yes this year's situation does change things, I get that.
What’s up with freeman?? I know atl has gurley, but does everyone believe he’ll just be non existent for gurley?-who’s also always hurt?!!??
@BensonsFire there's a difference between being injured and having 4 concussions! Or more, and as a RB, that's a huge risk for using Freeman.
If Chicago admits to yet another draft bust by signing Fornette, Ryan Pace will be fired. So, I don't think he will.
Kevin White (bust) Leonard Floyd (bust) Mitch Trubisky (bust)..too early for 2018 and 2019
I don’t understand how could Leonard Fournette be a bust when he hits 1700 yards last season
@Coletrain14 thanks...so is the current expectation that he’s just going to be a second team guy? Just tryin to see if he’s even draft worthy at this point
Admit to bust = Montgomery
@turk1010 because he was the bell bow, however if he goes to Phili or Chi, he will split work 50/50 and fight for lead, that's a huge loss in attempts.
He needs to land in LAR or TB, to have a lead role immediately
Tampa , rams, pats, are the best spots for him
I don't even think Fornette would be in a 50/ 50 with him...Fornette is way better
But some teams put money in their RBS, even if they suck, they will have them fight for lead role
@Crunch39 I agree, I think Fournette could lead all these teams in "discussion", But he has to prove it, and do it fast!
@coltrain14 "But some teams put money in their RBS, even if they suck" and like my point "draft capital"
NE, CHI, TB, LAR (if they feel Akers can’t handle it)
Took him in round 9 of my draft last night
This is a win for Fournette
Plot twist KC if he doesn’t get claimed
