“#Browns TE David Njoku has requested a trade, per @AdamSchefter. The team wants to keep him, but Njoku is hoping for a trade before training camp.”

jack1324 5 years ago

considering their WR’s are practice squad guys it makes sense that he would see a large volume of targets versus njoku who has to compete with mayfield and landry for targets.

holdmyChubb 5 years ago

I wouldn't want to compete with my qb for targets @jack1324

A good landing spot for Njoku would be AZ

holdmyChubb 5 years ago

A spot like that would have the fantasy world drafting him sooner than I ever would

jack1324 5 years ago

@Pot8odragon so quick question based on your logic is hock a low end TE2 to you as well?

SchmokinMidz42069 5 years ago

Njoku to the Redskins #HTTR. We can’t have Sprinkle as a TE1, it’s gotta be Njoku and then Sprinkle, Rodgers and Thomas for depth

1
OsoGrande 5 years ago

Not that much of an accomplishment to be a TE1. Major drop off after Kelce/Kittle, another after Andrews. 4-12 are interchangeable at this point.

@SchmokinMidz42069 the skins would love that

I'm hearing that the Dallas Cowboys have shown interest in acquiring Njoku.

@Thors_Hammer where’d you hear this

Cause his value is so high right now off an injury it would be stupid for the browns to trade him right now.

ErtzonceEifert 5 years ago

I'm betting Bill O'Brien is ready to give up two first rounders for him

Hurry up so my Harrison Bryant pick in the 6th round skyrockets in value.

Austin Hooper going to feast in that stefanski offense

Surprised nobody here has mentioned Seattle as a potential destination. They just lost Colby Parkinson to a foot injury and every other TE on their roster is basically one injury away from retirement. Njoku could be a great compliment to Russell Wilson, especially with their lack of size on the outside.

@ProphetHus I keep hear NE doesn’t have the $. Who are they paying a lot to? Defense? None of their skill players have big contracts that I know of.....

Ricky823 5 years ago

Almost all of the big contracts they have currently are on defense, but one of the biggest issues they have this season cap-wise is dead money. Nearly $27 million is money they've burnt either cutting or trading away players, which is all cleared by next season. That's when they'll have a whole lot more to work with.

You really have to give them credit, though, because pushing so much of the cap backwards to the point that they have the least amount of cap-space and one of the weakest rosters is exactly why they've been able to keep such stacked teams under the Brady/Belichick era. Now is when they're having to pay off all that credit.
