“So now, barring an unexpected trade, the #Chargers say Melvin Gordon can play for $5.605 million or not play at all https://t.co/ibxORCSDK5”
It’s nowhere near personal for the GM or Gordon
Why in the world would he be back by week 4 the way this is going? Serious question
He has more leverage the longer the season progresses
That's interesting @wintheweek. If he can spin it someway, maybe there would be hope. But would his people allow him to play for 5.6 and likely be run into the ground this season, lessening his value for next year?
@ChrisPartlow it's clear though he wants money now
Would u trade ekeler for Edelman?
Scroll up a hundred messages and you’ll see my thoughts
So why wouldn't he just wait for rb N to get hurt?
Trade ekeler for Edelman?
@EbonyLee depends on your team is constructed are you good at rb and need a wr?
And I do think its personal. The media declares winners and losers. And the chargers tabling negotiations today shows they are frustrated with him and they wanted to spank him, so to speak
Yes I got McCaffrey, fournette, josh Jacobs
Whos your WR?
Kirk, golloway, aj green, Allison
Ya i woulddo the trade
Thanks
Np
@ChrisPartlow @thebigjabroni long story short. The Chargers GM is confident he offered top market value. He’s now essentially stated, “it’s unfortunate you dislike our offer. Permission to seek greener pastures offered.””if you don’t find them, 5.6 million is waiting with another conversation next year”
@ChrisPartlow @thebigjabroni he’s letting Gordon’s team discover hs value for themselves. When they inevitably discover the Chargers were the best offer, expect a resolution
Why did they take the original offer of 10m off the table?
@ChrisPartlow you and the internet concluded that. The GM said I’m focusing on the regular season and not spending my time offering anything anymore
@ChrisPartlow if and when Gordon’s team come back and say, is that 10 million still there? It’ll happen
@wintheweek in your opinion you think Gordon will be back sooner rather than later?
@Papid1987 I honestly don’t know and could be wrong about all my opinions. I just think the Gordon team will explore the market, discover that the grass is not always greener, and figure out a way to play
