Melvin really overplayed his hand. Left himself with no good options. No matter what he does, he loses. Going back to play for the 5.6 million would make him look like a fool. If he sits out he loses a ton in fines. And no one wants to trade for him. He has been completely outplayed and outmaneuvered by the gm.
