@Wace right. So LevBell sat out a whole year only to sign for a LOWER annual salary than his franchise tender. He got more guaranteed, the equivalent of 2 years salary guaranteed, but gave up last years 15 million dollar income. Long story short, the Chargers are smartly getting in front of it and allowing Gordon to discover less impressive offers for himself with the hopes that makes him come back

If a team traded for him, they would most likely have to include the sought after extension that caused the whole hold out in the first place. When Gordon and his people discover nobody is offering more, it’s likely they come back to the table
It’s important to remember that the GM is done negotiating. If the Gordon side comes back and says we’ll take that previous offer, I’d bet the Chargers close the deal
