“Filed to ESPN: Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL, per source. There will be a press conference Sunday to make it official, but Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out.”
@eretama that’s tricky 🤔
Being the exact same age as luck, I can’t decide if what he did was right or not. I mean playing a pro “blood sport” what do you expect, and to do it two weeks before the season started isn’t cool. Although, I don’t know what pain he is dealing with, however I have suffered a ton of injuries from hockey, hurt every day and play not getting paid still.... this is a tough one boys.
Either way thank you for some entertaining football wish this guy the best
If Montgomery gets hot I think Nagy lets the good times roll, if not that could look way different
@dbarz it was right for him
@Mason76 that’s what it seems like. It’s just sad to see someone leave the game too soon.
Timing sucked for sure, but...his decision
@Mason76 absolutely, that’s the one thing that ran in my mind is he should have done this in March or April, not August
I don’t like it either but it isn’t my decision to make. I feel you though
@Mason76 exactly, I actually feel bad for colts fans, that’s a major kink in the formidable team they were forming.
I legit thought they were a season or two of good drafts and strong free agency’s to becoming a force.
Although brisset isn’t horrible.
I do too. That’s why they booed him. They seen the light at the end of the tunnel, then he blew up the tunnel
I think Brissett could surprise
@Mason76 that’s what I think. When I watched the colts last season their o line seemed to be their biggest problem. No one can throw with no time.
I hope that Brissett surprises is probably more fair
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
@Mason76 hell I hope he does.
The line seems formidable now, that’s what’s ironic to me about his decision
@Mason76 that’s what ran through my head.... like he leaves when the team is good? And addressed major issues 2 weeks before the regular season starts. I wish he would have done it a month ago, although maybe the colts knew? And it wasn’t publicized?
When he said the injuries took the joy away of playing, I knew he was serious
He is a very modest guy
I think they had a hunch 2-3 weeks ago
@Mason76 yeah his presser was actually sad to watch. I think I relate to it because I’m around his age and to see him break down makes me think I don’t know the whole situation, but like I said the timing is just so bad. It’s hard to hate luck, he was such a good guy on the field. I loved how he’d tell a guy who blew him up nice hit every time and mean it.
