“Filed to ESPN: Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL, per source. There will be a press conference Sunday to make it official, but Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out.”

Was this injury more than the minor injury that was reported? The guy went through hell to get back and then throws that all away for a minor injury? That just does not make sense and the timing for his team could not be much worse. If I spent a plus rehabbing a major injury, it would take more than a sprained whatever in my leg to quit. He had a chance for his legacy to be one of the greats of all time and now it will as a quitter who had a few good seasons.

Yo

If he comes back, how can he be trusted that he would not do the same thing at the worst possible moment again?

His luck ran out

He was a great QB that had more potential. Have to respect him for being honest with himself and doing what he believed to be right. Keep tweeting, ol boy.

@KerryM if you bothered to watch any of his press conference, you’d see that it’s 4 years of constant injury and rehab that wore him out mentally and physically, not just one little injury now... he’s walking away from $50+ million, and has to pay the Colts 12 million from his signing bonus, to put his health first and enjoy his life. Shame on people who call him a quitter just for wanting to live a healthy life.

KerryM 5 years ago

He is a quitter. I'll say it again. Poor guy making millions.

Your long-term mental and physical heath are worth way more than any millions of dollars. Don’t let your jealousy cloud your mind.

We don't know what Mack would have done this season, & Brissett is one of the better backups, with experience in this offense. Give it a shot before you jump ship, on Mack. Personally I wasn't expecting a whole lot anyway, probably an injury. I swear some of the guys on this site panic really easily

zer0chucksgiven 5 years ago

So which qb would you grab off waivers

KerryM 5 years ago

Slow down with the estrogen dude and get real. He was paid the millions to play great when healthy and rehab to play great when injured. He decided to keep the millions and quit.
