“The #Cowboys have offered RB Ezekiel Elliott a contract which would make him the second highest-paid RB in the NFL behind Todd Gurley, per @WerderEdESPN.”

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

I don’t need to put words in your mouth to win a debate. I’m too good for that . So stop it with that nonsense. 😄

Tistri13 6 years ago

The Bears approved the trade and new contract. Yes. What part of that is false?

Tistri13 6 years ago

Your not. Not at all.

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@Tistri13 The Bears approved the trade, but Mack had a strong influence in that trade happening

Tistri13 6 years ago

You’re …

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

It your , “your” is possessive adjective

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

And those are “your”words. 😄 🤦🏽‍♂️

@Tistri13 oh okay, I see now that you were correctly yourself. Nvm.

@TheFinalRoses you are missing the point here brother. How long was Mack holding off , remind me? Also, was it before or after Gruden got a 100mil contract so he was basically saying everyone to fuck themselves because I doubt Raiders had any money left. what Mack wanted didn’t matter, so why did it take Raiders so long to make that trade if Mack had a choice? they forced him to hold out because that was his only option, so where was the negotiation here? Your argument does not apply in this situation either. Also, they didn’t have a contract agreement the same as Zeke has, Mack has been in a game for 5 years and they were excersising the option year with him. Zeke has been suspended most of his first year and didn’t even play full season year yet. So what ground does Zeke have to ask for the top dollar? His only one good year in the game?

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange I’m not missing any point. The Raiders did not want to pay Mack. They had enough cap space to afford him. However, John Gruden wanted to rebuild. Hence the Mack point is relevant. Secondly, Zeke led the NFL in rushing with over 1600 rushing yards his rookie year. Not to mention, he sat out the season finale of his rookie year. In addition, he had over 5,000 yards from scrimmage, 34 total TDS in two in a half seasons as a sample size, showing that he earned a max deal. It wasn’t just one year. What are you even talking about. If you are going to debate with me, please have your facts ready.

TastyOrange 6 years ago

@TheFinalRoses one full year and you are not considering a personal character at all? For the top dollar for the guy who beats in women, great example to other NFL players who would feel they need to be rewarded. From your point of view, he deserves the top dollar. From a more human perspective, he is far from it. That’s a difference. I don’t remember Gurley or Mack having the similar issues. And yes, he only played one full season

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange Doesn’t Floyd Mayweather beat up women and he’s box office??

TastyOrange 6 years ago

@TheFinalRoses then that’s your best argument. I pass on this discussion :/ good luck

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange Zeke had two season in which he played 15 games. Which is virtually two seasons. He only missed 6 games due to a suspension, but not bc of injury.

TastyOrange 6 years ago

@TheFinalRoses no doubt he’s one of the best running backs but by asking the top dollar he’s disregarding other issues he has and example he sets

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange There is nothing humanizing about the NFL business side. Clearly, you have yet to form a strong point, so you leave. I don’t blame you. It’s for your own health

TastyOrange 6 years ago

If I were him I would keep my mouth shut, play his last year and hope he doesn’t break his legs so he can transfer to his dream contract at some other team

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange His contract has nothing to do with off the field issues. He has only been off the field for 6 games due to suspension. People in everyday jobs get suspended. It doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get paid

osmosis 6 years ago

@TastyOrange he would have a 5 th year then they can franchise him so he could end up not being a free agent for 4 more years

TastyOrange 6 years ago

Wow, you seem to know what’s good for my health. Are you a licensed doctor? You take insurance too?

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@TastyOrange Right, and you aren’t educated enough about the subject to understand that it’s in Zeke’s best interest to hold out. Too much money to risk if he plays without a new contract

willjrush 6 years ago

This seems like a dumb argument

TheFinalRoses 6 years ago

@osmosis 🙏 thank you. Someone who actually understands the subject. It’s what happens to L.Bell. The Steelers wouldn’t give him a long term deal. They kept toying with him. Giving him year to year team friendly franchise tags to the point where he was getting underpaid. Not to mention, no long term security. Bell finally had enough so he gave an ultimatum and held out.
