“Heard from league source that Josh Gordon has filed for reinstatement from suspension.”
JG must have his ducks in a row,& believe he has a case for reinstatement, at this point
Or JG just wants a few game checks before failin...errr needing to step away.
I’ve picked him up in the last round of every draft... don’t know why anyone wouldn’t
@DaveSF if these guys get reinstated, I don't think they will be getting suspended for failed cannabis tests again. It will be likely that the league is moving forward
The NFL still has rules just like any job. Should i be able to go to work drunk because alcohol is legal?
Does your job ruin your brain function ability?
@TheInfamousRob nobody is talking about allowing guys to go to work high
He went to work and popped on a test?
I’m all for legalizing it but until the NFL says it’s ok then he gets suspended
@TheInfamousRob cannabis metabolites, which is what they test for, stay in your system for around 30 days. He could have used a month earlier
You can/should use marijuana in the NFL. Prescription meds are highly addictive and do bodily harm. NFL should stop testing for it. Ban alcohol instead lol
Cannabis isn't for everybody but it's exactly what some people need. I don't think you can say the same for alcohol. An honest police officer can tell you which causes more problems
😳"
Players do use smoke weed , again all you need to do to avoid the drug program is Pass one test in May. If you cant lay off the weed for a few weeks with multi millions at stake. You likely need a program
actually players are selected at random by a private company to do drug tests. The names are selected using an algorithm
P.EDs yes , Street drugs ( weed ) No. 98 % of players pass their one street drug a year and avoid random testing the rest of year... P.EDs test do not test for weed .
It’s because of “the man” trying to hold us down
They are required to provide a sample for drug testing, regardless of the drug, at random. It could be anytime throughout the season to any player
Wrong again P.E.Ds are random , street drugs are once a year for players not in the Substance abuse program. Meaning once they pass ( 98% do ) they can smoke all season .
how do we know it is just weed for Gordon?
got it, I stand corrected. Pass the test and toke away
Each year before the start of training camp every player on the roster is tested for both performance enhancing drugs and street drugs. For guys not in the NFL drug program, this surprisingly is the only time the entire year that an NFL player is tested for illegal street drugs.
That makes this policy even worse, less meaningful
IMO makes it harder on those in the program , being ard teammates who can and do smoke weed . I think thats why so many fail multiple times
