“Video: Bucs receivers coach Kevin Garver talks about Chris Godwin and how he could be involved in the slot as well as outside this season. https://t.co/vyiFac3Gxu”
Evans isn’t hurt
Not referring to Evans. Referring to ASH+DJ leaving.
brown and juju were both top 10 last year there can be 2 heavily involved receivers on the same offense
Sure, when the QB throws a record number of passes and there is no WR3 and hardly a TE of consequence.
the slot role is very important in a Bruce arians system
You can't possibly think that's a relevant point with the Steelers lol
Lol with the coach analysis. He had Larry Fitz... of course the "slot role" is very important when it's one of the best of all time.
"Tom Brady loves throwing to his TEs" .... yeah when he has Gronk
The best coaches (Arians included) design the system to fit the players.... they don't hammer square pegs into their system's round holes.
and Godwin doesn’t fit the system?
I agree with most of your points but at the end of the day Godwin has a lot of room for improvement based on last year and wrs that breakout usually do it in their 2nd season after showing flashes of being good as a rookie which Godwin did
How do you continue to miss the point?
what’s the point
It's not about whether Godwin fits the system or whether he'll play the slot
what is gonna hold him back
It's about how many targets he can reasonably get.
it will go up from last year
Thanks Captain Obvious
"Mahomes threw 580 passes last year so let's use that. Jameis completes 61.6% for his career = 357 completions. Mike Evans had 22.4% target share last year so Godwin will almost surely be below ~80 catches (which was about where Evans was last year). 80 would put him T-21st last year"
so you are agreeing that 22 is good value but that’s also about as good as he can finish?
22 is on the higher end and therefore is bad value.
He's <50% to outproduce his ADP
he is being drafted as a flex tho
That is a WR2 unless you play 8 team leagues.
