I guess it's ultimately his decision but idk if it's the right thing for the NFL to allow

Yeah, according to a neurologist I spoke to directly, concussions take 3-6 weeks to recover fully from.
concussions aren't even a concrete thing you can diagnose. and the severity range is huge. technically riding a roller coaster is likely to give you a slight concussion.
