Trey Lance - Erratic performance Saturday

I’m going to chalk that up to him not giving a shit if it’s picked or not. Still great to see him throw and make plays on the ground .

I watched the first 3 quarters and he had only 2 picks. Those two picks were picks I could live with (growing pains). He made some REALLY nice throws (the touchdown to flournoy and another one that he threw 40-50 yds and dropped it in perfectly into the receivers hands where the db couldn't get it but the receiver dropped it. That one would have been a TD.) and he also made some nice plays with his legs. That 46 yd td scamper was remiscent of a prime kaepernick with his speed. I have to assume the 3 picks he threw in the 4th were throws he was forcing trying to win the game. I know they were down in the 4th qtr but well within reach of winning. So there's something there for sure. He's definitely got the talent and the good plays he made showed me why he was the 3rd overall pick a few yrs ago. He needs reps for sure and the cowboys would be wise to build his confidence and continue grooming him.

Would have liked to seen him play at least one of those preseason games with some starters. I know no ceedee. But the others.

410 total yards and 2 TDs even with 5 ints would still be a top 10 week
